Top Rank Promotion's Bob Arum said on Monday that a Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Manny Pacquiao rematch may happen.
"I would say there is a possibility a rematch happens, yes," the veteran boxing promoter said, according to ESPN. "How big a possibility that is, I can't really measure."

Mayweather, who left boxing with an unblemished professional record of 49 wins in 49 bouts, sparked speculations over the weekend when Arum said in a Showtime interview that he might be swayed to come out of retirement if the money is enough
Although the retired undefeated American boxer was not specifically asked about Pacquiao, the eight-division world champion from the Philippines might be the only opponent who can help Mayweather reach those numbers.
"Obviously, he's coming back," Arum said of Mayweather. "And I can't see him making the kind of money he's talking about with anybody other than Manny."
Both boxers are technically retired, but aside from the monetary considerations, there are other reasons for the rematch. Pacquiao would want to fight to avenge his defeat while Mayweather would be looking to break Rocky Marciano's 49-0 record and claim the glory of victory No. 50.
The first Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, which was billed as 'The Fight of the Century,' sold a record 4.6 million pay-per-views and millions of fans spent a record US$99.95 to view the fight at home. However, the most anticipated boxing event in history did not live up to the expectation of fans. Mayweather won by unanimous decision, and later on, Pacquiao disclosed that he fought with an injured shoulder.
After facing each other, both fighters struggled at the box office in their succeeding bouts and suffered a PPV busts. Mayweather defeated Andre Berto in September last year, and Pacquiao got the better of Timothy Bradley in April.
