The highly anticipated video game 'Mighty No. 9' finally has an official release date after being pushed back a couple of times due to development problems. 'Mega Man' creator and the head of 'Mighty No. 9' development team Keiji Inafune announced that the game finally has gone gold, which means that it is finished and ready to ship.

The studios behind 'Mighty No. 9,' Comcept and Inti Creates, announced that the game will start shipping on June 21 to North America and on June 24 to other parts of the world. The game will be initially released for the console and desktop computer platforms. The game will also be released on handheld consoles like the Nintendo 3DS and the PlayStation Vita on a later date.

Inafune expressed his gratitude to all the backers and patient fans who have waited long to get their hands on the game. In a message posted on the official 'Mighty No. 9' website, Inafune said, "It has been almost three years since the start of our Kickstarter campaign, which was only made possible through the support of our backers and fans around the world."

The long awaited release of 'Mighty No. 9' will serve as a closure to one of history's most successful crowdfunding campaign. The 'Mighty No. 9' Kickstarter campaign was launched in 2013 and became the hottest and most talked about campaign during its time.

The campaign was able to raise more than $3.8 million from fans who are excited to relive the golden days of 'Mega Man.' The campaign also stood as a monumental proof that classic video game titles do not need big time publishers or investors to bring their plans to life.

On the other hand, the development of 'Mighty No. 9' was marred with several hurdles which forced that studio to push the original release date from April 2015.
