Capital city team Beijing Guoan FC (1-2-3, 6 points) continues to struggle in scoring and finding victories in the young 2016 Chinese Super League season. In their next game, the team is scheduled to clash with big-spending club Jiangsu Suning FC (5-0-2, 17 points) on May 8th, Sunday at the Workers' Stadium.

Beijing Guoan is presently settled at the 13th spot of the China top flight table, which is included in the bottom-fourth of the league. In six games so far this season, the team has only scored 4 goals with three of those goals coming in their only win to date, a 3-0 blowout over Hangzhou Greentown on April 17th.

In their most recent match last Saturday, the Imperial Guards was forced into a 1-1 tie with Chongqing Lifan FC on the road at the Chongqing Olympic Sports Center, via Soccerway.

The game was goalless for much of the time until Guoan midfielder Zhang Xiaobin broke the deadlock at the 81st minute. It was equalized by Chongqing defender Liu Yu only after two minutes and the score remained until the full time whistle. It was the second straight drawn match by Beijing after gaining their first win of the season.

Meanwhile, Jiangsu Suning remains as the only undefeated team in the league after seven match days.

Jiangsu blanked cellar dwellers Changchun Yatai FC, 2-0, at their home ground of Nanjing Olympic Sports Center on April 29th, as per China.org.

Defender Ren Hang opened the scoring at the eighth minute of the contest via an assist by Brazilian winger Alex Teixeira. Teixeira also assisted in the team's second goal by midfielder Ji Xiang seven minutes into the second half.

It was Jiangsu's fifth win in seven games this season.

The predicted result is a 3-0 romp for Jiangsu Suning.
