After the departure of its superstar, the Los Angeles Lakers might now be planning for their next move to strengthen the franchise since Kobe Bryant is no longer a part of the team.

In regards to the future of the Lakers, rumors are pointing out to a possibility that the management is planning to acquire Chandler  Parsons, who got traded to Dallas Mavericks after an amazing run with the Houston Rockets. The same publication claims that the Lakers is more interested on acquiring an NBA star in the free agency market rather than opting to use its first round pick in the 2016 NBA draft.

Another rumor is that the Lakers is also interested of getting OKC's 4-time scoring champion, Kevin Durant. The 6 foot 9 small forward will be available on the free agency market after this season. This is why NBA fans are speculation whether the 7-time NBA All-Star will be in the Laker uniform next season.

Aside from KD, Harisson Barnes is also rumored to be under the radar of the Los Angeles Lakers. It was just recently when the Lakers replaced its head coach with the former Golden State Warriors assistant coach, Luke Walton, who also once played in the Lakers and did actually won 2 championships playing with Bryant.

He is going to be the latest leader of the team on the court and reports are expecting him to rebuild the franchise back to its former fame while Kobe is still not suffering injuries. This is why speculations sparked that Walton might bring a member of the Warriors in LA, and the name that surfaced is none other than Barnes who has shown his superb athletic ability while in the Warriors uniform.

On the other hand, Durant was reported to be quoting that he will only join a team which can be a contender for the next NBA finals. Barnes has not also confirmed whether the rumor about him joining the Lakers is true. There is no legit news that Parsons will also join the team; however, knowing that the Lakers has a bigger budget now, it might not be impossible that the team would get players that would finally bring back its strength in the league.
