Although Tesla Motors is expected to start the production of their Tesla Model 3 late 2017, the company's CEO, Elon Musk, is already giving hints that Tesla Motors will be introducing another car in the future, which led fans to think that it is the fourth generation Tesla.
During Future Transport Solutions Conference, which was held in Norway, Musk started the rumor mill regarding Tesla Model 4; however, Tesla's CEO did not mention that the fourth generation car will be called Model 4.

According to Morning News USA, the fourth generation car may be called Model Y to complete the company's line up, and would spell as "S3XY." There is still no confirmation if Tesla would go with the said model name, but Musk did not waste any time to give hints about what he wants to their future car during the FTS conference.
Since Tesla's Model 3 will have a starting price of $35,000, Musk confessed that he wanted their next lineup to be more pocket friendly, wherein every consumer would be able to afford their own electric car. He also disclosed that their next car will be more compact, a bit smaller but still packed with numerous driving capabilities.
It is also said that Model 4, or Model Y, will incorporate an Autopilot mode feature, which is one of the best technology Tesla has today. As Musk explained, Tesla's signature technology will be the next trend in the next 20 years, and the company will make sure that their next lineup (whether it will be called Model 4 or Model Y) will have full autonomy.
