Changchun Yatai is currently on a three-game losing slide and had been winless in all of their eight games this term so far. With that, the team is settled at the cellar of the 16-team China top flight table after eight rounds.

Head coach Lee Jang-soo's squad is coming off a 0-2 road defeat in the hands of last season's China League One champions Yanbian Funde FC at the Yanji Nationwide Fitness Centre Stadium last Sunday, via Soccerway.

Yanbian's South Korean forward Kim Seung-dae provided the double for the hosts at the 14th and 74th minutes of the match to hand Changchun their sixth loss of the season.

Meanwhile, perennial contender Shandong Luneng continues to struggle as the season reached its quarter mark, losing to middling team Tianjin Teda, 2-3, at their own home field of Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium also last Sunday, as per Cri English.

Shandong scored the first two goals of the contest, courtesy of local striker Wu Xinghan at the fifth minute off an assist by Brazilian forward Diego Tardelli and a penalty kick from Argentine import Walter Montillo at the 23rd.

However, Taishan Dui was not able to hold on to the two-point lead as the Northeast Tigers netted the last three goals, from Hu Rentian, Mbaye Diagne, and Cao Yang at the 37th, 50th, and 72nd minutes respectively.

The defeat was the third consecutive one for manager Mano Menezes' side after securing their second win of the season during round five of the domestic first division competitions.

The predicted result is a close 1-0 victory for Shandong Luneng.
