Chinese Super League 2016: Henan Jianye vs Tianjin Teda, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

Contending teams Henan Jianye FC (4-3-1, 13 points) and Tianjin Teda FC (3-2-3, 12 points) are set to clash with one another at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium on Saturday, May 14th in a 2016 Chinese Super League season encounter.

Henan Jianye is at the fifth spot of the current China top flight table, four points behind third-placed squad Shanghai SIPG and the final AFC Champions League qualifying slot. After making a great start to the season with two consecutive wins and a draw, the Red Devils have now lost three of their last five games.

Henan managed to cut the deficit to one point at the 73rd with a strike from Chen Hao off an assist by Ivo.

Hebei's French winger Gaël Kakuta made it 4-2 three minutes later before Yin Hongbo netted the last goal to finalize the count at the 84th.

Meanwhile, Tianjin Teda pulled off a 3-2 road victory over perennial powerhouse Shandong Luneng at the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium last Sunday, as reported by Cri English.

The hosts scored the first two goals of the match with strikes from Wu Xinghan and Walter Montillo at the fifth and 23rd minute, but Tianjin fought back and scored the next three, courtesy of Hu Rentian, Mbaye Diagne, and Cao Yang.

It was the second straight victory for the Northeast Tigers, but the Red Devils are favored to win this one at home.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 win for Henan Jianye.
