Reports saying HTC will build the upcoming Nexus tablet may have been confirmed by new leaked photos showing an official keyboard case for the 8-inch or 9-inch Android device.

Android Police reports the HTC Nexus tablet will have an optional smart cover that protects the device and folds down into a keyboard for times when the user needs to type over 140 characters.

@upleaks previously provided a lot of Nexus 9 details and posted more about the device's accessories and launch.

The tipster said the HTC T1 Wi-Fi variant will be available in a lot of countries including Japan and Korea. The LTE variant will be out in Russia, Europe, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong and Korea.

Accessories of the HTC Nexus 9 include a keyboard folio and a magic cover in different colors. @upleaks didn't confirm if the Nexus 9 will be available in North America. The Nexus 9 is scheduled for release before Oct. 9.

Google and HTC both haven't officially announced the alleged Nexus 9.

The rumored specs of the device are an 8.9-inch display with 2048 x 1440 and 281 ppi or 2560 x 1600, 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 Denver processor; 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM; 8 megapixel OIS rear camera and 3 megapixel front camera; 16 GB or 32 GB internal storage; stereo speakers at the front; aluminum zero-gap construction; 8.9 x5.98 x0.31 inch body and Android 4.4.4 KitKat or Android 5.0 LMP.

Because of its high-end hardware, the HTC Nexus 9 is expected to be costlier than previous Nexus tablets.
