Former NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady worked out with Lakers star Kobe Bryant in gymnasium in Southern California to assess his body for a potential NBA comeback late this summer.
McGrady comfirmed that he and the Black Mamba worked out three days a week to get back in shape and check if his body still responds to the demand of the NBA hardcourt.

According to league sources, two teams were contacted about their interest in acquiring McGrady's services but none of these franchises further studied the option.
The 35-year-old star is still under contract to a basketball tour in China in October. The said obligation will make McGrady's comeback impossible to materialize. Through his team-up with Yao Ming on their stint with the Houston Rockets, McGrady's popularity is still enormous.
McGrady lost his value as a star player due to back and knee injuries leading to the deterioration of his sturdiness and skills.
With his failure to land an NBA contract for the 2012-2013 season, McGrady turned to China as an alternative. McGrady was signed by the San Antonio Spurs during the final day of the regular season as a piece of their playoff lineup after playing for the China Basketball Association.
The man announced his retirement from the league in August 2013.
After 15 years of competing in the NBA, McGrady debuted as a professional baseball player serving as a starting pitcher for the Sugarland Skeeters of the Atlantic League.
In the span of his NBA career, McGrady became a two-time scoring champion and was selected to be in the first-team or second-team All-NBA for five times. Straight out of high school, he landed the 9th overall pick in 1997 and was chosen by the Toronto Raptors.
McGrady recorded averages of 19.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game in the regular season and 22.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5 assists in the playoffs.
