Motorola, a company owned by Lenovo, has unveiled two new Android smartphones. Motorola is adding the two new devices to its famous Moto G line. Dubbed the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus, the two smartphones are said to sport cameras that can take better pictures than the iPhone 6S.
The Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus are similar to each other, aside from a minor difference in the camera, RAM and storage aspects for the Plus model. The Plus also has a fingerprint scanner, while the regular Moto G4 does not support this feature.

The Moto G4 comes with 2GB of internal memory, 16GB of storage, and a 13-megapixel shooter. There are indications that the camera of the G4 is likely to be similar to the one on the current Moto G model.
On the other hand, the Moto G4 Plus has 3GB of RAM, a fingerprint sensor, a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, and 32GB of storage space. Aside from its massive megapixels, the G4 Plus' camera has an f/2.0 aperture, and phase detection autofocus.
The Motorola Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus were unveiled at a press event in India on May 17. Both models have a 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution. They both also have the Snapdragon 617 processors from Qualcomm, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 3,000 mAh battery pack.
What captured the attention of many in the tech community is the camera specs of the Moto G4 Plus. Apparently, Motorola spent some time and resources to develop it. It appears that their efforts paid off since many benchmark tests have proven that the images captured by the Moto G4 Plus camera are indeed better that the ones captured by the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.
The exact price point of the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are still a mystery. However, based on the price of the current Moto G model in the market, the two upcoming smartphones will have a price tag somewhere around the $180 region.
