Scream Queens season 2 will present a different Chanel, said lead star Emma Roberts. As previously seen in the finale episode, the Kappa Kappa Tau co-president Chanel Oberlin, played by Roberts, is in a mental hospital.
Roberts told US Weekly, "It's [based in a] mental hospital. So, I doubt Chanel is looking as 'Chanel' as we remember her [in the season 1 finale]."

In Scream Queens season 2, Chanel is expected to stay quirky and fashionable despite being in danger due to new mysterious killers.
Roberts is reportedly excited to reprise her role as the leader of her clique called The Chanels and the most popular girl in Wallace University. The former American Horror Story actress said she is fond of playing Chanel because her role is unlike her previous projects.
The actress will be reuniting with her love interest in the show, Chad Radwell, who is played by Glen Powell. Unfortunately for Chad, he needs to find a way to stay on top of Chanel's heart as Scream Queens season 2 will also reportedly bring in new suitors for Chanel and her friends.
As for season 2's theme, Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays Dean Munsch, told E! News that the sophomore season of Scream Queens will be more sinister. "I think it'll be dark. I think it's going to be very dark," she said.
Along with Roberts, Powell and Curtis, Abigail Breslin, Lea Michele and Billie Lourd will be reprising their roles as the Chanels. Keke Palmer and Niecy Nash will also return as Zayday, the co-president of Kappa Kappa Tau and Officer Denise Hemphill, respectively.
Watch how Chanel will rule the mental hospital when Scream Queens season 2 is aired on Fox this fall.
