A lot of Barbie's fans were worried about her condition when the news circulated in the country.
However, Barbie's mother denied this speculation and immediately clarified that the cause of her daughter's epilepsy was not due to the anesthetic given to her.
Instead, Barbie lost consciousness due to the intense pain suffered from her contractions, which triggered the epilepsy. Upon admission to the intensive care unit, Barbie eventually regained consciousness.
Barbie's current condition is now stabilized, and she is now in the maternity ward for post-delivery.
"We have formed a 'good' word. Good luck will be coming," said Barbie's mother-in-law, as she made the official announcement of the birth of her second grandson via Weibo.
Wang Xiaofei, Barbie's husband, thanked everyone, especially family and friends, for their prayers and revealed that their son is very healthy.
With a deeper understanding of life, Xiaofei posted a picture of his second child's footprints.
Xiaofei added that he would continue to accompany Barbie in the hospital until her recovery.
Barbie's career as an actress catapulted after she appeared in Meteor Garden.
Barbie and Xiaofei got married in 2010 after two months of dating. Barbie gave birth to her first born child, a daughter named Xiyue in April 2014.
