French tennis player Caroline Garcia lifted her second WTA Tour title on Saturday, beating Croatia's Mirjana Lucic-Baroni by 6-4, 6-1 at Strasbourg.

The 10-seed Gracia dominated the first set taking a 5-1 lead over Croatian veteran player. Lucic-Baroni, who reached the final in Strasbourg after a gap of 19 years, attempted to bounce back in the match but lost by 5-4.

"I felt very confident going into the final. The first set I let her back into it. The first set is super important in tennis for momentum. Because you want to get off to a good start. And I got that today, which helped for the rest of the match," Garcia said after her victory ahead of French Open. She now takes on Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko in the first round of French Open.

On the same day, Dutch tennis player Kiki Bertens won the final of Nuremberg Open. Bertens beat Colombia's Mariana Duque-Marino in a one-side encounter by 6-2, 6-2. It was the Dutch star's second WTA Tour title.

"I think I played really well today - I was serving good and going for my shots. I had really good length to my shots and so she couldn't do much from the baseline," Bertens said after an easy win against the Colombian tennis player.

Bertens, 24, will be hoping to extend her winning streak when she takes on Germany's world number 3 Angelique Kerber in the first round of French Open, which starts on Sunday in Paris.
