Royal Challengers Bangalore will face Gujarat Lions in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2016 at 8 p.m. local time / 2:30 p.m. GMT on May 24, 2016.

The first qualifier of the ninth edition of Indian Premier League will be played between Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Suresh Raina-led Gujarat Lions (GL) on Tuesday. The two sides will take on each other at RCB' home ground M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

The Bangalore-based RCB stormed into play off by beating Delhi Daredevils in a must win battle on Sunday. Skipper Virat Kohli's brilliant half century guided RCB to a comfortable six wicket victory and crashed Zaheer Khan's Delhi team out of tournament. Table Topper Gujarat Lions, on the other hand, became first team to qualify for play offs after beating Kolkata Knight Riders in their previous encounter.
