With a new head coach at its helm, cellar dwellers Changchun Yatai FC finally won their first game in the 2016 Chinese Super League season after the team turned back a tough challenge from Guangzhou R&F FC, 1-0, on the road at the Yuexiushan Stadium on Sunday.
Bolivia international Marcelo Martins Moreno scored the lone goal of the contest at the 74th minute off an assist by Taiwanese defender Yaki Yen to give their side their first three points in the overall standings after starting the first nine rounds of the season with three draws and six losses, as per Soccerway.

Changchun has also given its new manager, 59-year-old South Korean bench tactician Lee Jang-soo, his first victory for the club after he joined them earlier this month.
Lee, who will turn 60 in October, had led the team to two winless performances before the said win, a 0-2 loss to Yanbian Funde during his debut game for Yatai and a goalless draw with Shandong Luneng in the next fixture.
Finally, in his third try, "Steel Coach" Lee, who got the nickname due to his intense training techniques, was able to provide a win for the drifting football club.
Lee replaced 46-year-old Slovenian head coach Slaviša Stojanovič after Changchun dropped to their fourth loss of the season, a 0-2 decision against Jiangsu Suning, on April 29.
Reports were out that the South Korean mentor immediately introduced changes within Yatai's system, especially when it comes to training and conditioning.
"Maybe most of you are not happy about that I came to Yatai," said Lee during his initial training session with the Jilin residents. But the results have been promising so far and so senior team officials are sticking with the Gyeongnam, South Korea native at the moment.
Despite the win, Changchun remained at the bottom of the China top flight table as they are settled two points behind 15th-placed squad Liaoning Whowin FC.
