The Los Angeles-based company has partnered with China's largest machine tool manufacturer Shenyang Machine Tool Co, Ltd. (SMTCL) to launch the Zeus 3D printer in the local market. Dubbed as the world's first all-in-one easy-to-use 3D printer, the Zeus was first launched in 2014 for a price tag of $2,499.

For AIO Robotics, the new partnership will help the company to expand its reach in both the Chinese and Asian markets, while helping SMTCL set out into the new and exciting world of 3D printing technology.

"As a champion of Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing, we are excited to include additive manufacturing in our product portfolio," International Business General Manager Andrew Heath of SMTCL said, "The Zeus' holistic approach is very similar to our growing i5 ecosystem. China is ready for a true pro-sumer 3d printing platform and the Zeus is outstanding."

Chief Executive Officer Jens Windau of AIO Robotics said in regards to the company's mission, "Our goal is to prepare the next generation of China's workforce for the manufacturing industry of the future. We are very impressed with SMTCL, and their vision aligns well with ours,"

"The partnership with SMTCL expands our presence in the Asian market, and offers opportunities for co-development and collaboration going forward."

In addition to being a 3D printer, the Zeus is capable of 3D scanning objects, and serves as both a copier and fax machine as well. Using this capability, the Zeus allows users from any part in the world to scan objects and send them to another printer "at the touch of a button", according to AIO Robotics. Specs-wise, it features a 7-inch multi-touch color screen, a 2 megapixel Full HD (1,080 x 1,920 pixels) CMOS camera, and powered by an Exynos 4412 quad-core chipset at 1.7GHz.
