The Switch One 10 is one of the cheapest 10-inch, 2-in-1 notebooks. It features touchscreen control, and the keyboard can be removed or reattached depending on the user's needs.
The full specifications of the device have not been disclosed. However, the usual hardware budgeted for laptops have 64GB of storage and 4 GB and below of RAM, reported by IT World.
Acer has also introduced the Switch V 10 that features a fingerprint reader, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Gorilla Glass screen, and USB-C ports.
Both Acer Switch One 10 and Switch V 10 would have the "Cherry Trail" Atom chips, which costs under $200. Cherry Trail, however, will be discontinued to give way for Apollo Lake chips in the future.
Switch One 10 could become a low-cost substitute for Chromebooks that will sell for $179.99.
Acer has also introduced new laptops like the TravelMate P249 which features a 14-inch screen and P259 which comes with a 15.6-inch screen. Both laptops can have Skylake chips, Nvidia Geforce 940M, and DDR4 memory which can be upgraded up to 32GB for $599. They can be shipped to Europe, China, Middle East and Africa in August. Customers in the U.S., who pre-order the device, will receive it in the fourth of quarter this year.
The Acer Switch One 10 and Switch V 10 will be available in the U.S. and Europe in July, and China in September.
