Actress Amber Heard was recently granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband, actor Johnny Depp. 

The 30-year old actress filed for a restraining order against her now estranged 52-year old husband.

Heard presented a photo that was reportedly taken on Saturday, showing a large bruise around her eye, as evidence that Depp had hit her after a heated argument that occurred at the couple's former home in Los Angeles, California.

She also claimed that cocaine and alcohol addiction turned the 'Pirates of The Carribean' actor into a violent monster. The former 'Friday Night Lights' actress also claimed that she had constantly lived in fear and that Depp had tried to buy her silence but she instead decided to file for divorce two days after the alleged iPhone incident.

Heard was quoted saying "He had gone to the house we previously shared, unannounced to taunt and terrorize me both physically and emotionally." But sources close to Depp claims that Amber is lying and even pointed out that the actress had posted a photograph of her with friends Amanda de Cadanet and Amber Valletta on Sunday--the photograph in question has since been deleted from her Instagram account.

In her declaration for petition for the restraining order, Heard was quoted saying "Johnny has a long-held history with alcohol and substance abuse, he is often paranoid and his temper is extremely scary for me as it has proven many times to be physically threatening and dangerous for me to have him around."

The actress and her lawyer, Samantha Spector, appeared in court but Depp did not make an appearance as he was in Portugal performing with his band 'Hollywood Vampires'
