Acer unveiled the Liquid Zest Plus smartphone last month during the company's global press conference. The device sports impressive hardware specs, but what captured the attention of the tech community is its massive 5,000mAh battery pack. Acer has revealed new details about the Liquid Zest Plus smartphone and has confirmed that it will be released in July.

The upcoming Acer Liquid Zest Plus is essentially an upgraded version of the entry-level Liquid Zest smartphone. The former has upgraded features and hardware specs compared to its predecessor. Acer confirmed that the smartphone would come in two colors; Andes While and Moroccan Blue.

At the heart of the Liquid Zest Plus is the MediaTek MT6735 chipset with a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.3GHz and the Mali T720 GPU to handle its graphics. According to The Verge, the smartphone has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space which is expandable via the microSD slot. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.

Although the 2GB RAM is a bit low for a high-end smartphone, some tech analysts believe that Acer might introduce a secondary version of the Liquid Zest Plus that will sport 4GB of RAM.

The Acer Liquid Zest Plus has a 5.5-inch display that supports HD resolution. On the camera aspect, it has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. Acer claims that its camera sports a hybrid tri-focusing system, a technology that allows the camera to focus on different parts of a picture in just 0.03 seconds. There is also the Pause N Shoot selfie mode which detects faces automatically and then sets the timer. This will allow users to easily take selfies with one hand.

Acer claims that the massive 5,000mAh battery pack of the Liquid Zest Pack is enough to power the smartphone for up to three days on a single charge. The company added that half of the device's battery can be charged in less than an hour.

According to Ubergizmo, the Acer Liquid Zest Plus is expected to be released in the United States in July, and will cost $199.
