Amy Schumer posted an Instagram photo on Thursday exposing her half-naked body in order to raise awareness against gun violence.

Schumer, 35, attempted to break the internet as she exposed her almost naked body to promote her advocacy to end gun violence and call for stricter gun laws in the United States.

In the photo shot from the neck below, the Inside Amy star can be seen wearing nothing but an orange sports bra. "Today please #wearorange for gun safety! #everytown," Schumer captioned the picture.

The #WearOrange campaign began in the South Side of Chicago after 15-year-old girl named Hadiya Pendleton was fatally shot on January 29, 2013. After the teenager's death, her friends and supporters wore orange as a symbol of mourning and of increased awareness.

Schumer joins a slew of other celebrities such as Chelsea Handler, Julianne Moore, Spike Lee and Kim Kardashian who are also fighting for gun safety through the Wear Orange campaign.

Last year, a deadly shooting killed two women and wounded nine others occurred at a theater during a screening of Schumer's film Trainwreck. The incident urged the comedian to be more public and aggressive in her stand against gun violence and she has since joined hands with cousin and New York senator, Chuck Schumer, to promote gun control.

This isn't the first time Schumer has stripped down to her naked body on social media. Last year, the actress/comedian posted a photo of herself wearing only underwear and high heels.

She wrote a powerful caption alongside the picture describing every woman's body type. "Beautiful, gross, strong, thin, fat, pretty, ugly, sexy, disgusting, flawless, woman. Thank you Annie Leibovitz!" she captioned the black-and-white image, which will be featured on this year's Pirelli calendar.
