Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimović reportedly received a £53 million wage offer from an unnamed Chinese Super League side but had insisted that the "future is written" for him this summer as his deal with the French champions expires.
While rumors abound that the 34-year-old Sweden national team captain had only talked with English Premier League side Manchester United for a possible free transfer move, Goal reported that he "could be tempted with an even bigger financial package on offer elsewhere" particularly in China.

According to the report, new coach Jose Mourinho and the Red Devils' "main rivals" for Ibrahimović once his current contract with Les Parisiens end in June will be a club from the Chinese domestic first division league.
Recently, the 6-foot-5 Malmö, Sweden native is speculated to be on his way to the Old Trafford as Mourinho is said to be keen on adding the forward to his formidable attacking scheme presently composed of old guard Wayne Rooney and youngsters Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.
However, with the Chinese squad set to offer more in terms of wages, £53 million in two years to be exact, the Sweden International may allegedly change his mind at the last minute.
United is said to be "not prepared to match that offer but are appealed by the marketing opportunities" that the former AC Milan forward will bring to their side moving forward.
Meanwhile, ESPN indicated that according to Ibrahimović himself during one of his latest media interviews that his future is already decided and he knows where he wants to go.
He did not specify which club, though, and left the reporters hanging.
"It's not a difficult choice, I know what I want. The future is already written. I have made my choice," he said. "I don't give guarantees. There are concrete offers from the Premier League, so let's see what happens."
When asked about United's hiring of Mourinho, Ibrahimović said that it was "a great move", saying that his former Inter Milan mentor won "wherever he went".
"You want action you bring Mourinho. I believe he is the man to bring them back to the top. Wherever he went, he won. He knows what he's doing. So if you want to win you bring Mourinho. I had a fantastic time with him when I was working with him... If we will work again, I don't know. Let's see how things play out," he added.
