Floyd Mayweather Sr. defended his son, Mayweather Jr., this week about the outcome of the latter's first fight against Marcos Maidana saying that "Money" was distracted.

Mayweather Jr. and Maidana will go head-to-head one for time on September 13 in a rematch to settle the controversial finish of the previous bout.

Mayweather Sr. even went on to say that his son defeated the Argentine boxer during their first encounter and there's nothing to discuss about it anymore. Also, the former professional boxer stated that Maidana is in for a beating again but in a more fashionable way this time.

The trainer was open to acknowledge that he taught his son some adjustments this time. "I am going to have Floyd do a lot of things differently in this fight than he did during the first fight," he quipped.

After that, Floyd Sr. expressed that something bugged Money's mind on the day of the fight. The coach concluded by saying that everything is running smooth now with their camp and Floyd Jr. will give Maidana a boxing clinic come match time.

Mayweather Sr. did not mention what troubled his fighter. Floyd Jr. is yet to react on the subject as well.

Obviously, the current pound-for-pound king has a lot of concerns to date. That includes a lawsuit filed by his former fiancée alleging assault, battery, false imprisonment, defamation, conversion, invasion of privacy and other abuses.

If these concerns truly affected Money in his last encounter against Maidana, there is a tendency that these problems will continue to haunt him.

Money will be in big trouble if he loses this match for whatever reason. Known as a man who is obsessed with his unbeaten record, Floyd Mayweather definitely needs to win this fight to silence his critics.
