The ninth game of the ongoing Copa America Centenario 2016 soccer tournament will be played between host United States of America (USA) and Costa Rica at Soldier Field, Chicago on Tuesday. Colombia takes on Paraguay in another Group A encounter on Tuesday.

The American national football team, who lost their opening game of Copa America against Colombia last week, face a must-win situation when they take on Costa Rica at Soldier Field.

USA team's striker Clint Dempsey acknowledged that Tuesday's clash against Costa Rica is a must win for his side. "It's a must-win situation, backs against the wall. It's going to be a difficult game. They know they got a result that puts them in position to get out of the group. And for us, it's a must-win. So it's going to be a difficult challenge," he said, according to ESPN.

Costa Rica, on the other hand, began their campaign with a draw against Paraguay on Saturday. However, the US team might be relieved after the scoreless draw between Costa Rica and two time champions Paraguay. The hosts are placed at bottom of Group A.
