"Agent Carter" star Hayley Atwell is rallying up the show's fans in a campaign to revive the series. The Marvel television series was not re-upped by ABC for another season, and Atwell is not quite happy with the decision.

Speaking in front of fans at MegaCon in Orlando, Florida, Atwell revealed her desire to bring back "Agent Carter" for another season.

"Absolutely, yeah. I love Peggy. I love the people working on this project together. The fans are incredibly warm and welcoming and it would be an absolute privilege and honor to bring her back for the fans," Atwell said, according to E! News.

Atwell is not in it for the money. As a matter of fact, she already has a tight schedule with ABC's "Conviction." When asked how she would juggle filming for both shows, she suggested that she'd be happy work on weekends for "Agent Carter."

The 34-year-old actress is not the only person keen on reviving the sacked ABC series. Co-star Dominic Cooper said he be down to play Howard Stark for another season as long as the show has "more story to tell."

"The fact that people have got behind it and want to see it return means a huge amount to Hayley (Atwell) and James (D'Arcy)," Cooper said at MCM London Comic Con, as quoted by Business Standard.

It was said that "Agent Carter" season 3 would've explored deeper into Peggy Carter's past.

"The showrunners were talking about a kind of twist, I suppose...something to do with the family," Atwell revealed. This twist would involve her brother.

However, there are also rumors that the show will make a comeback in one form or another. Dominic Cooper teased that the might return to TV screens in another network or the story could be merged with a different show.

"You'll see them again somewhere, I have no doubt about it," Cooper shared.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" actress Elizabeth Henstridge is also vocal supporter of "Agent Carter." She even went on to theorize that the show was cancelled because it is being made into a movie. This whole idea of an "Agent Carter" movie adapatation has already gotten fans hyped up.  Perhaps Chris Evans' Captain America can make a cameo appearance?
