X Factor singing contestant, Simone Battle, 25, was found dead in her Los Angeles apartment early on Friday morning. After an examination of the young singer, it has been reported that the cause of Battle's death was from suicide.
Even at such a young age, Battle has been met with much success in the music industry. As a participating contestant of the widely popular X Factor, Battle had the opportunity to be mentored by none other than Simon Cowell in 2011.

Under Cowell's mentorship, Battle had managed to successfully make it to X Factor's Top 17 before her elimination. However, that was far from the end of Battle's music career.
After her elimination from X Factor, Battle joined what was originally going to be a new line-up for The Pussycat Dolls in 2012. However, it was later announced by Robin Antin that Battle would be joining G.R.L.--a new group set to be the next generation of The Pussycat Dolls.
Battle was a part of the group's first release during the summer of 2013-their first single, "Vacation".
Antin had released a joint statement with Reign Deer Entertainment, Kemosabe Records, and RCA Records through Pop Justice, writing:
"We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L. Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time."
Antin was not the only one to publicly share her condolences. Battle's first musical mentor, Cowell, also released a public statement on the loss of one of his former singers.
"I am so sad to hear about the news Simone Battle has passed away. She was such a fun nice person. It's such a loss. Rest in peace, Simone," he posted on his official Twitter account.
Paula Abdul also followed suit, tweeting that her heart went out to Simone's family during their time of tragic loss.
To honor Battle's success and talent, former X Factor judge, Nicole Scherzinger dedicated her performance tonight in South Africa to the singer.
