What is happening to celebrities this summer? Many have been writing and commenting that it has been quite the whirlwind A-list deaths and illnesses this month.

Joining this unfortunate trend is  Kelly Osbourne, a Fashion Police co-star of the recently deceased Joan Rivers. Yet unlike Rivers, the 29-year-old British star was hospitalized just yesterday with a case of pneumonia.

Osbourne has been mourning over the death of her 81-year-old co-star and has joined many other celebrities who have been sending messages of support for Joan and her E! star, Melissa Rivers.

On her official Facebook page, Osbourne has described her love and appreciation for her time spent working alongside Rivers on E!

"I'm completely heartbroken by the loss of my beloved Joan," Osbourne said. "Not only was she my boss, she was and will always be my teacher, therapist, closest friend, inspiration, and the only grandmother I ever knew."

"She was family, and I will never forget her. Laughter will be difficult for a while, but when I'm sad, lonely, or upset, all I will have to do is think of Joan and a smile will cross my face. Laughter is what she gave us, and laughter is what she would want us to do in remembrance of her."

In a heartfelt message to Melissa, Osbourne added, "Melissa and Cooper, my thoughts are with you, and I love you both so much."

The news of Osbourne's hospitalization broke after Osbourne uploaded a melancholy picture of herself on her Instagram page. As Osbourne supported herself against a hospital bed, she held up a bold red sign reading "Why I am in the hospital".

Beneath her picture, Osbourne posted "When you have a cough, go to the doctor, or you will end up like me! #Pneumonia."

Despite her hospitalization, fans have taken Osbourne's recent upload as a sign that the star will make a quick and full recovery from her illness.
