Atlus has announced that “Persona 5” will launch in North America on February 14, 2017.
“Persona 5” is the latest instalment in the long-running Persona series. It was originally planned to launch in 2014 for PlayStation 3, but it was pushed back to 2015 and also announced for PlayStation 4. For the second time around, the plan did not push through with Atlus promising a release in Japan and the Americas in 2016.

“The biggest factor in the 2017 release date is attention to detail. We're making sure every bit is in place. Persona has exponentially grown as a franchise, and considering this is our first numbered sequel since 2008, Atlus is taking its time to ensure this is the best possible experience,” wrote Atlus PR manager John Hardin on the PlayStation blog.
Players will have the option to choose from three different bundles. It includes a SteelBook launch edition and a “Take Your Heart” premium edition that comes with a variety of extra goodies including a school bag, a 4-inch Morgana plush, a soundtrack CD, a hardcover book of the game's art, a collector's box and, of course, the game.
The SteelBook edition of the game will be $59.99, while the “Take Your Heart” edition will run for $89.99. Both will only be made available on the Playstation 4.
The Japanese video game developer and publisher also confirmed that “Person 5” be coming to Japan on Sept. 15, which is just five days before the franchise's 20th anniversary. It also released the first trailer for the new title for the Japanese audience.
Moreover, Atlus confirmed that the game will be at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) along with a special appearance from character designer Shigenori Soejima and a limited edition Morgana hat giveaway.
