"19 Kids and Counting" alum Jill Duggar-Dillard was recently slammed by fans for meddling too much with her mother-in-law's search for the latter's biological mother.

A few days ago, Duggar tweeted her followers asking for help so that her mother-in-law Cathy Dillard may be reunited with her mom.

Unfortunately, Duggar didn't have to wait for a very long time to find out that Cathy's mom has already passed away in 1992.

Meanwhile, critics have been questioning the reaity TV star's involvement in the search, with some of them saying that what she did was a bit out of line.

According to Inquisitr, some fan also thought that Duggar wanted to capture the attention of her followers so that they would get to talk about her and her family.

At present, "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" is in the verge of being axed by TLC and the Duggar family are seeking the help of their fans to campaign for a season 2 renewal.

Unfortunately, TLC has not yet made any confirmation as to whether or not they will renew the "19 Kids and Counting" spinoff or axe it altogether.

One fan also poked fun on Duggar's statement when she said that her son Israel would love to meet his great grandmother.

The fan said that Israel is very young to even care about his unknown relatives.

"Israel couldn't care less so why is he being used as the reason for the search?" the fan wrote.

Another fan wondered if Cathy herself really wanted to know where her birth mother is. After all, if Derick Dillard's mom wanted to find her, she would've done so several years ago.

"Does CATHY want to know more about Cathy's birth family? If so, why not before now? Why now? I hope Jill & Derick aren't turning stones they should be leaving alone. This kind of venture can be full of pitfalls for everyone involved," the fan wrote.
