As per the  NBA rules, Green, a two-time NBA All-Defensive First Team member,  will serve a one-game suspension without pay for accumulating his fourth Flagrant Foul point of the 2016 postseason. He will serve his suspension Monday, June 13 during Game 5 of the Finals at Oracle Arena.

In Game 4, Green made undesired contact with a retaliatory swing of his hand to the groin of the four-time MVP LeBron James. The two players exchanged heated words briefly before returning to action.

The Warriors currently lead the series 3-1 and has easily been the better team. However, losing a player of Green's caliber could give the Cavaliers some advantage.

The 26-year-old native of Saginaw, Michigan is averaging 14.75 points, 9.25 rebounds, and 5.75 assists and has compiled seven steals and five blocked shots in four games played in this series. Green is considered as the defending champion's heart and soul, leading the team on the defensive end of the floor and effectively contributing in the offensive department of the team.

The Warriors learned of the suspension late in practice on Sunday, and Green was not made available to the media.
