Along with Windows PC and Windows Phone, XBox could soon get Microsoft's intelligent personal voice-assistant, Cortana.

Microsoft is concentrating on speed and the social experience of XBox players. Cortana has been around for a long time on most PCs and Windows smartphones. The digital assistant, which is an equivalent of iPhone's Siri, can perform various tasks.

Other perks included in the latest XBox update are a redesigned game store and a personalized activity feed. A summer update for Preview members will be rolled out the coming weeks to fix bug issues. And to let members participate in the redesigned gameplay, Windows Central reported.

Xbox and Windows Store will merge in providing the gaming mediums; this will set up the player's PC games with Game Hubs and Xbox live. This will reportedly enhance the gaming experience wherever and whatever fans want to play.

Cortana can be used with Kinect and headsets. The voice-assistant will feature updates about friends, create a party to complete certain tasks, and a lot more. Gamers often link their accounts to other social media platforms like Facebook. Players can add more friends via Xbox live.

Players can use gamer tags to talk online even if they are playing different games. According to reports, real names can be used with the beta Cortana. Sharing screenshots are made easier, as well as achievements on Xbox one and GameDVR clips, Design N Trend reported.

Xbox with Cortana features can do much more, but players should bear in mind that a member can invite a non-member for a summer preview. This is a beta test without a guarantee that it will run smoothly. Similar to previous releases, this is an ongoing process and needs to be constantly refined. Cortana is scheduled to be launched internationally in the coming months.
