It can be recalled that during the finale of the CBS police procedural drama series' 13^th season, it was presumed that the special agent already died after her family's farmhouse in Israel was burned down. However, a number of fans have theorized that she could still be alive, and that her fate would finally be revealed during the upcoming season.

In an interview with the Deadline, executive producer and showrunner Gary Glasberg hinted that there could be truth to the widely publicized "NCIS" season 14 spoilers.

"Tremendous thought was put into every element of what you saw last night," he told the entertainment site the morning after the season 13 finale was aired.

He continued saying that "down to the lines of dialogue, the specific wordage."

"At the end of the day, I leave it in the hands of our fantastic fans and audience," he added. "To quote Tony DiNozzo at the end of the episode, 'You gotta believe what you gotta believe.'"

Amid the unending speculations and spoilers about the mystery that is supposed to be answered in "NCIS" season 14, Glasberg's response suggested that anything is possible to happen.

"NCIS is a show and a franchise that's known historically for leaving lots of things unanswered and leaving all doors opens," he dished. "We revisit all kinds of things in all kinds of ways. We never say never and I'm not going to stray from that kind of approach."

Meanwhile, TV Line reported that per Glasberg, some cast members of the show may become series regulars in the highly-anticipated 14^th season.

With the kind of mystery that "NCIS" has been known for, the latest season 14 spoilers disclosed that "Sarah Clarke's FBI agent Tess Monroe and Duane Henry's MI-6 agent Clayton Reeves, either (or both) of whom could become series regulars."
