Host USA and Peru, Ecuador and Colombia also booked places in knock-out rounds of Copa America 2016.

Argentina secured a quanterfinals spot after beating Bolivia 3-0 in a Copa America Group D encounter on Tuesday night. Erik Lamela, Ezequiel Lavezzi, and Victor Cuesta scored Argentina's three goals.

The title favorites finished atop Group D with a perfect record. They won all three group stage matches against defending champion Chile, Panama, and Bolivia.

Argentina's coach Gerardo Martino is optimistic about his side' chances of progressing in the tournament. "We have a solid team. We played well in the first half [against Bolivia], and that was the difference," Martino said.

The coach continued, "It ended a good first step, but it is useless for what is to come next. But my team is alert. We are in a good moment, we have many players recovering from injuries and we're good for the final stretch."

Venezuela played to a 1-1 draw against Mexico in their final group stage match at NRG Stadium in Houston on Monday. Mexican midfielder Jesus Manuel 'Tecatito' Corona's goal in 80th minute earned the draw for his side after Jose Manuel Velazquez's goal in early first half gave the lead to Venezuela.
