(Photo : Reuters/Muhamed Al-Sayaghali) Persona 5 is an upcoming role-playing video game being developed and published by Atlus for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 home consoles.

The Persona 5 gameplay demo was revealed on Tuesday at E3 in Los Angeles. Atlus showed nine minutes of game footage, including after-school activities and various fast-paced combat. Less than ideal quality footage was filmed from a showroom floor, because the developer does not have livestreams from E3. The video shows a character on a detailed environment, extremely different from that of the game's predecessors.

The Persona 5 gameplay revealed information in the Japanese Weekly Famitsu. The return of Persona 5: All-Out Attack in the previous video of the game was announced by the game's developer, Atlus.

The attack campaign has been the primary feature of the series. It is a powerful and synchronized attack of the entire team after an enemy is knocked down.

However, an added attack called 1 More allows a player to land a critical hit or utilize weakness. It can also mean more enemies generating an annihilating all-out attack. Magical elements as well as melee weapons in the game are unclear though, iDigital Times reported.

Baton Touch, a new battle command for the character Anne allows a player to perform an extra 1 More move. This could give way to creating new combat strategies in certain boss fights, as elemental weakness and party composition have a great impact on the battle outcome. A negotiation system is also introduced in the game to allow the party to request money, power, or items from the enemy. This feature could replace Shuffle Time as the method where players acquire personas, The Verge reported.

Persona 5 will be available on February 2017. The game is compatible with PlayStation 3 and 4. Shin Megami Tensei, a game also developed by Atlus has the same format. In Shin Megami Tensei, demons can become allies through negotiations, depending on the players level or strength.
