Game of Thrones season six episode nine, "Battle of the Bastards," is highly anticipated for its hair-raising, epic battle.
"Battle of the Bastards" is directed by Miguel Sapochnik, who also handled "Hardhome" the eighth episode of Game of Thrones Season five, in which Jon Snow faced the White Walkers.

Sapochnik explained that every battle in Game of Thrones is one-of-a-kind. "In the case of 'Battle of the Bastards'... David and Dan wanted to do a thing of spectacle," he told Entertainment Weekly.
The director went on to say that "Battle of the Bastards" is a tactical pitch-field clash that they didn't have the funds to do in Game of Thrones seasons one or two.
Sapochnik said that it was really something that he was wanted to do - show the revulsion and luck in a battle.
As a result, the show gathered 500 extra stars, 600 staff, and 70 horses to film "Battle of the Bastards" in 25 days.
Game of Thrones showrunner, David Benioff, on the other hand, explained that it was not easy to shoot using horses in battle scenes.
He said that horses were not easy to work with, and that's why they rarely used them, apart from big-budget projects.
Meanwhile, Liam Cunningham, who plays Ser Davos Seaworth, had nothing but praise for the penultimate episode.
"This is possibly the best hour of television ever made," he said about the upcoming Game of Thrones episode to The Hollywood Reporter.
In fact, he even compared it to big-budget films and might be the most talked-about episode of the entire Game of Thrones story so far.
"They've pushed the bounds of television on this," Cunningham continued. "Not just the show."
