Colombia will face Chile in the second semifinal of the ongoing Copa America Centenario 2016 at Soldiers Field in Chicago on Wednesday.

The first semifinal of the tournament will be played between host USA and Argentina at 9 p.m. ET on June 21, 2016 at NRG Stadium in Houston.

Colombia entered into semifinals of Copa America Centenario 2016 by beating Peru on a penalty shootout at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina's brilliant penalty save earned his side a 4-2 win against Peru on Friday.

"It was a very intense game," Ospina said after the victory. "This team have played well, we have a great staff and now we need to enjoy the moment before thinking about what's next." 

Defending champion Chile thrashed Mexico 7-0 in another quarterfinal match on Saturday. Striker Eduardo Vargas alone grabbed four goals for Chile in an almost one sided encounter.

"Everyone knows that we are the champions and today we showed it," Vargas said after the massive victory.
