China's leading sportswear giant ANTA Sports Product Limited has announced that orders for their latest signature shoe, the  ANTA KT series has surpassed the 650,000 mark, making it the brand's fastest growing product endorsed by an NBA player.

The ANTA KT series, which was launched in 2015 chalked up about 150,000 orders in its first year. NBA All-Star Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors has endorsed the sports shoes.

The 26-year-old American shooting guard left Nike and has been working with ANTA KT since February last year.

"I am honored to be an ANTA brand endorser. The shoes give me the strong grip, safety, balance and stability that I need to perform and excel. The ANTA KT1 has been a big part of my journey to the Championship with the Warriors". The 2016 NBA Three-Point Contest Champion said.

In addition to the original KT1, special editions of KT models were also ushered to echo the grand NBA Playoffs and Finals which became an instant sellout. With over 500,000 orders this year, the KT series recorded an outstanding increase of approximately 240%.

"While I am sad to see the Warriors missing out on the crown this season, I am thrilled to announce that the KT series topped the charts in China in terms of growth amongst all ANTA basketball lines. Klay's outstanding performance this season certainly reflects the quality of our brand."ANTA Sports Chairman and CEO Ding Shizhong said.

Ding Shizhong stated that "China have embraced the ANTA KT series" and also said that the company will be launching additional KT lines special edition and will be hosting a series of high profile promotional events as it aims to reach new heights for the brand's basketball-related products.
