Back in October 2015, about six months before it came out, there were rumours that P9 would have a dual camera on the back - and they proved true. Its fingerprint scanner is located on the rear panel just underneath the dual-camera setup. Both rear cameras are 12 megapixels with monochrome modes.
There have been no announcements about whether Huawei P10 will also feature the two cameras on the back.
Rumors suggest that the P10's fingerprint scanner can be moved from the back panel to the front. This seems to be the standard trend of the industry. Actually, consumers prefer this front-facing fingerprint scanner, since it is convenient for the index finger upon picking the smartphone up. By the time the phone reaches the person's face, it is already unlocked, making it easy to take selfies.
Another advantage is that when the smartphone is laying flat on a table, there is no need to pick up the phone to unlock it.
There are still no announcements regarding its specifications, but it is expected to have higher-end technology than that found in the P9. Huawei P10 will be released in early 2017.
