While world No. 7 Dominican Republic of Group 2 and world No. 17 Croatia of Group 3 have already claimed the glory in their respective groups, the Chinese women's national volleyball squad will be attempting to continue its dominance in the group stage of the ongoing 24th edition of the FIVB World Grand Prix.

China currently holds the top spot in Group 1. The Asian powerhouse remains unbeaten in six matches played, earning 17 points and dropping only three sets.
The national team, which won all three of its matches in Ningbo, beat Belgium (3-0) and Serbia (3-2) before sweeping the back-to-back Olympic Brazilian team in Macau to finish at the top of the group stage.
With the annual women's international volleyball tournament in its fourth week, the 2003 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix champions will host Germany, the United States, and the Netherlands from June 24 to 26 in Hong Kong.
The sporting event will take place at the Hong Kong Coliseum, located in Hung Hom, Kowloon.
"I feel my players still lack consistency; our tactical approach and adjustment on court still require improvements. I also think that we need more work on reception against hard-serving opponents," said National Team Coach Lang.
With only 18 matches left to play, this preliminary round will decide which five nations will join host Thailand in the Group 1 Finals that will be held in Bangkok from July 6 to 10.
China is currentlyranked No. 2 in the world by the FIVB, only behind the United States. The decorated national team has competed in eight Summer Olympics, winning gold medals at Los Angeles (1984) and Athens (2004).
