Middling club Beijing Guoan FC (4-4-5, 17 points) will look to extend a four-game unbeaten run, as they square off with contending squad Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC (5-2-7, 22 points) in a 2016 Chinese Super League encounter at the Workers' Stadium in Beijing on June 25.

Beijing Guoan has been on a roll since current head coach Xie Feng took over for the sacked Serie A title-winning bench tactician Alberto Zaccheroni last month. The team is undefeated in four games under Xie, and they will be looking to continue that streak as they face a surging Shanghai Shenhua eleven.

However, the Imperial Guards' most recent match was a 1-1 draw with another middling team, Guangzhou R&F FC, at the Yuexiushan Stadium last Sunday.

Guoan winger Piao Cheng netted the opening goal for the visitors at the 26th minute, as he caught a pass from defender Zhang Xinxin and bulleted it past Blue Lions goalkeeper Cheng Yuelei.

Guangzhou managed to equalize at the stroke of halftime, courtesy of Australian forward Apostolos Giannou, to settle for a share of a point in the overall standings.

Beijing is currently settled in the eighth spot of the league table, one point ahead of the Blue Lions and three points behind seventh-place team Tianjin Teda.

Meanwhile, Shanghai Shenhua crushed cellar-dwelling squad Hangzhou Greentown 4-0 at their home field of Hongkou Stadium - also last Sunday - to remain unbeaten in their last seven outings.

Senegalese striker Demba Ba pulled off a hat trick at the 42nd, 74th, and 81st minutes for head coach Gregorio Manzano's side, while an 88th minute goal from former Seattle Sounders forward Obafemi Martins - this time assisted by Ba - completed the team's four-goal haul.

Shenhua is now in the top five of the overall standings, only a point behind fourth-placers Shanghai SIPG and seven points below the third and last AFC Champions League berth presently held by Jiangsu Suning.

The predicted result is a 2-0 win for Shanghai Shenhua.
