Basketball News: Jiangsu Hualan Beats Beijing Sport in the 12th Round of the Chinese National Basketball League

The league's sixth-ranked Beijing Sport endured a shocking upset at the hands of the ninth-ranked Jiangsu Hualan with a 121-106 defeat in the 12th round of the Chinese National Basketball League (NBL) on Friday in Jiang Yin.
With the win, Jiangsu improves to 7-5, moving into a five-way tie.

Michael Efevberha led Hualan to their second straight triumph. The Nigerian-American guard exploded with a spectacular double-double of 49 points and 11 assists to go along with 7 boards and 2 steals.
Former NBA player Craig Brackins also had a remarkable double-double of 37 points and 17 rebounds. Both Hualan's imports played for 48 minutes.
Domestic player Xin Wang added 14 points and 14 rebounds for the winners, who shot 40 for 79 from two-point range and connected on 8 of 29 from beyond the arc. Jiangsu also got the better of Beijing in the rebounds department, as Hualan out-rebounded the opposing team 55-45.
Jiangsu completely dominated the first three quarters of the game. They entered the third period with a 16-point lead. Beijing outscored them 30-29 in the fourth quarter, but it was too little, too late.
American forward Emanuel Jones paced Beijing with a team-high 38 points, while South Sudanese center Ater Majok finished the game with 17 points and 17 rebounds.
Jiangsu Hualan will be facing National Auto Service, while Beijing Sport will be playing against Jianghuai on Sunday.
