Reeling contenders Henan Jianye FC (6-5-4, 22 points) are scheduled to host streaking capital city squad Beijing Guoan FC (5-4-5, 20 points) at their home field of Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium this Saturday, July 2 in a 2016 Chinese Super League season game.

Henan Jianye is presently on a two-game losing slide and had been winless in six of their last eight outings to drop to the sixth spot of the China top flight table after spending the first few weeks of competitions in the top four or five positions in the overall standings.

Their most recent loss was a disappointing 0-1 decision against former bottom two squad Changchun Yatai FC on the road at the Development Area Stadium last Saturday, via Soccerway.

Bolivian import Marcelo Martins Moreno provided the lone goal of the contest for Changchun at the 74th minute as head coach Jia Xiuquan's team could not find the back of goalkeeper Wu Yake's net all throughout the match.

Meanwhile, Beijing Guoan pulled off its fifth straight unbeaten performance with a 2-1 victory over rivals Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC at their home field of Workers' Stadium also last Saturday, as per China.org.

Local winger Zhang Xizhe fired a brace at the 66th and 69th minutes following a goalless first half that saw the two squads miss close chances until the break.

Former Chelsea forward Demba Ba then scored a consolation goal for Shanghai at the 83rd to put his team on the board and avoid a shutout.

Interestingly, the Imperial Guards have remained undefeated since the sacking of former head coach Alberto Zaccheroni. The team is currently managed by Xie Feng.

Resident striker Yu Dabao was given a red card at the 84th and so he will miss this game versus Henan Jianye. Turkish forward Burak Yilmaz is expected to replace him in Beijing's starting eleven.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 victory for Beijing Guoan.
