Huawei to Launch New Smartphones at IFA 2016 Event in Berlin on September 1

Chinese manufacturer Huawei is sending out invitations for an event at IFA 2016 in Berlin on September 1 where it will launch its latest smartphones.
The launching ceremony will take place on the eve of the said event in the Germany. The IFA 2016 event will run September 2 to 7 (Saturday to Thursday, respectively).

On Huawei's invite, there is no information about on the details of its latest lineup of smartphones. However, the successor of Huawei Mate 8 phablet is expected to hit the market ahead of the much-anticipated launch of the next smartphones from Apple this month.
The Huawei Mate 8 was released back in November 2015 and has a 6-inch IPS-NEO LCD Display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 368 pixels per inch. It also has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It comes in two variants, namely, a 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage and a 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.
The device features a 16-megapixel camera at the back with an aperture of f/2.0, dual-LED flash, OIS, phase detection autofocus and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.4. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and is powered a quad-core HiSilicon Kirin 950 clocked at 2.3 GHz. The dimensions of the smartphone are 157.1 x 80.6 x 7.9 mm with a weight of 185 grams.
On Monday, Huawei announced that it is building its own alternative operating system to reduce dependence on Google's Android. The project is currently in its early stages.
