The current league's second-top playing team Anhui Wenyi continued their winning run after crushing the lowly Jianghuai Lightning with a 109-87 triumph in the 14th round of the Chinese National Basketball League (NBL) on Wednesday.
The 2014 NBA D-League All-Star Manny Harris scored a game-high 25 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead the Anhui team to its seventh-straight win after suffering a 116-99 defeat against Hualan on June 10. The 26-year-old University of Michigan Wolverines product went 6 for 7 from the two-point range and connected 3 for 7 from beyond the arc region in just 24 minutes of playing time.

Shunjie Guo made an impressive contribution of 24 points and six boards. Shouwei Cun added 12 points and 11 rebounds while Jian Li also had a double-double production of 10 points and 10 boards for the winners.
Anhui is now just a game behind the table leader Shaanxi Xinda Wolves (13-1), who tasted their first loss of the season against Henan.
American forward Cavell Johnson led Jianghuai with a team-high 20 points and 10 rebounds while Chinese player Yan Ho finished the game with 19 points. With the loss, Jianghuai fell to an undesirable 3-11 win-loss record and are sitting at the 12th spot in the 14-team Chinese professional basketball minor league.
The winning team began the first 12 minutes of the match with a strong start by staging a 32-16 first quarter outburst. Anhui closed the first half of the game leading by 20 big points 60-40.
Entering the third quarter with a huge lead, Anhui relentlessly pounded Jianghuai with another 22-16 run to further stretch the deficit to a comfortable 26-point advantage going in to the final period of the game. Jianghuai fought back in the last quarter with a 31-27 charge, but it was not enough to steal the victory.
