Basketball News: Former NBA D-League Player Darrington Hobson Bags Player of the Week Award in the NBL

The 2010 Mountain West Conference (MWC) Men's Basketball Player of the Year winner Darrington Hobson of the Guang Xi Rhinos had an awesome double-double performance, earning him the right to be named Asia-Basket.com NBL Player of the Week in the 14th round of China's professional minor basketball league.

The 28-year-old American basketball reinforcement scored 57 huge points with 11 rebounds. Hobson led his team to a heart-breaking 125-123 defeat against the league's seventh-placed Hebei Xianglan.

The American shooting guard has a 44.0 field goal percentage while shooting 36.1 percent from beyond the arc region.

The other top performing players in the 14th round of the Chinese NBL are Emanuel Jones of Beijing Sport, who scored 40 points and 12 rebounds in their 118-115 win over Jiangsu Lions. Louyang' Joe Jackson had 42 points, ten boards and seven assists in their 128-117 loss over Hunan.

James Mays of the Shaanxi Xinda Wolves and Shannon Shorter also had an impressive performance in the 14th round with both Americans scoring 33 points each for their respective clubs.
