The 2010 Mountain West Conference (MWC) Men's Basketball Player of the Year winner Darrington Hobson of the Guang Xi Rhinos had an awesome double-double performance, earning him the right to be named Asia-Basket.com NBL Player of the Week in the 14^th round of China's professional minor basketball league.

The 28-year-old American basketball reinforcement scored 57 huge points with 11 rebounds. Hobson led his team to a heart-breaking 125-123 defeat against the league's seventh-placed Hebei Xianglan.

Although they suffered their seventh loss in 14 games played, the 2010 First Team All- MWC member turned out to be Guang Xi' top player in his first season with the club.

Hobson is the 2010 NBA Draft 37^th overall pick selected by the Milwaukee Bucks. The 6-foot-7 tall native of Las Vegas, Nevada played with the Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA D-League and won a championship title with the team in 2015.

He played college basketball at the NCAA Division I with the University of New Mexico Lobos men's basketball team before declaring his intention to join the draft. In the 35 official matches that Hobson played, he averaged 15.9 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game in 33.6 minutes of playing time.

The American shooting guard has a 44.0 field goal percentage while shooting 36.1 percent from beyond the arc region.

The other top performing players in the 14th round of the Chinese NBL are Emanuel Jones of Beijing Sport, who scored 40 points and 12 rebounds in their 118-115 win over Jiangsu Lions. Louyang' Joe Jackson had 42 points, ten boards and seven assists in their 128-117 loss over Hunan.

James Mays of the Shaanxi Xinda Wolves and Shannon Shorter also had an impressive performance in the 14th round with both Americans scoring 33 points each for their respective clubs.
