Middling clubs Beijing Guoan FC (5-5-5, 20 points) and Tianjin Teda FC (5-5-6, 21 points) will both try to climb the 2016 Chinese Super League season's overall standings as they face one another in a match on July 9, Saturday at the Workers' Stadium.

Beijing Guoan had been on a roll in the past several weeks since the team was taken over by head coach Xie Feng from former boss Alberto Zaccheroni, being undefeated in the former's first five games as manager.

However, Xie experienced his first loss as Imperial Guards' coach in the previous round as his team succumbed to a close 0-1 nipping from contending team Henan Jianye on the road at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium last Saturday, Football Australia reported.

Midfielder Feng Zhuoyi provided the lone goal of the contest off an assist from Australian defender Ryan McGowan for Henan to snap Beijing's five-game unbeaten run.

Guoan remained at the eighth spot of the league table despite the loss, though, and are 10 points below Hebei China Fortune's third spot, which is the last qualifying berth for the AFC Champions League next season.

Meanwhile, Tianjin Teda is also in the middle of the standings, at seventh place and only a point above Beijing Guoan.

The Tianjin Tigers are on a four-game winless slide with their last game a heartbreaking 2-3 loss to Chongqing Lifan right at their home ground of Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium on Sunday, as per China.org.

Dragan Okuka's squad scored the first two goals of the contest, but the visitors managed to string three consecutive goals late in the second half to snatch the three points away from the hosts.

Guoan is favored to win against the reeling Tigers in this match as the Imperial Guards are keen on redeeming themselves from their poor performance against Henan.

The predicted result is a close 1-0 victory for Beijing Guoan.
