Top-notch veteran strikers Papiss Cissé and Graziano Pellè have reportedly agreed on separate transfer deals from English Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Southampton respectively to join Chinese Super League squad Shandong Luneng Taishan FC.

Cissé completed the move on Saturday for a fee of £2.5 million while Pellè is said to be nearing a deal later this week for £13 million.

The 31-year-old Senegalese forward Cissé is set to earn £3 million per season with Taishan Dui, as per Daily Mail Online.

Cissé had been with the Magpies since January 2012 when the Tyneside giants acquired him from Bundesliga team SC Freiburg for an undisclosed fee rumored to be around £9.3 million. In four-and-a-half seasons with Newcastle, the 6-foot-1 forward had appeared in a total of 131 games in all competitions and had scored 44 times in the said time span.

Last season was one of his least competitive years with the Geordies, though, as he scored only three goals in 21 appearances in the English first division domestic competitions.

Cissé and Newcastle's poor play dropped them to the 18th spot of the 2015-2016 Premier League table, relegating them to the Football League Championship for the coming season.

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old Pellè had been one of the Saint's top goalscorers last season with 11 goals in 30 appearances in the Premier League. Overall, he netted 14 times for the St. Mary's Stadium residents in 37 games in all competitions in 2015-2016.

The Italy international is coming off an impressive Euro 2016 stint which saw his national squad fall to Germany in the quarterfinals of the said tournament.

Initial rumors have emerged that the 6-foot-4 forward is a target of his national team head coach and current Chelsea manager Antonio Conte to bring with him to the Stamford Bridge this summer, but SkySports revealed that Pellè "is set to leave St Mary's not for west London, but the Far East".

The Saints said to have agreed to the deal as they will make a £4 million "profit on the man they signed from Feyenoord two years ago".

If Pellè's push through this week, then it will be a big boost for manager Felix Magath's struggling CSL squad, who is currently at the bottom two relegation zone with the China top flight already on its halfway mark.
