China League One football club Wuhan Zall FC named former Juventus manager Ciro Ferrara as its new head coach on Tuesday as the second division squad aims to climb up the current league table.
Zhuo'er is currently settled at the 10th spot of the Far East nation's second division association football competitions following the team's 1-0 nipping of bottom two squad Dalian Transcendence at their home ground of Xinhua Road Sports Center last Sunday. They now have a total of 22 points in the overall standings, six points above the relegation area and a long 10 points below that top two promotion zone.

The 49-year-old Italian bench tactician replaced sacked head coach Zheng Xiong after leading the team to a poor performance in the first 16 rounds of the current term, Xinhuanet indicated.
Ferrara, who is also a former Juventus and Napoli center back and Italy international, is coming off a head coaching stint with another Italian Serie A squad, UC Sampdoria, back in July 2012. He only handled the squad for 15 games, garnering a record of five wins, three draws, and seven losses before he was sacked in December of that same year.
He had been out of the job since then until Wuhan Zhuo'er contacted him and signed him as their new bench boss this summer.
"I will bring the European football concept to the team, try to help the team win matches and repay the club," said Ferrara.
Ferrara also coached Juventus during the 2009-2010 season following his stint as an assistant coach with the World Cup-winning Italy national team under Marcelo Lippi.
Football Italia noted that the Naples, Italy native is joining former AC Milan head coach Clarence Seedorf to coach in the China League One this season.
Both coaches had been unsuccessful with their Italian top flight coaching spells and would like to bounce back in the Far East nation this term.
