An unnamed Xiaomi-branded smartphone recently surfaced on Geekbench which ignited rumors that it might be Xiaomi Mi Note 2. The Geekbench entry labeled the device as Xiaomi Capricorn.
Based on the Geekbench listing, the Capricorn is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 820 chipset with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit. The benchmark entry also reveals that the device will have 3GB of memory. Some tech analysts have suggested that a 4GB variant is also a possibility. There are suggestions that Xiaomi would release several variants of the Mi Note 2 with different storage space and memory specs.
According to Android Headlines, the Capricorn managed to score 2,342 points on Geekbench's single-core test, and 5,621 points in the multi-core test. The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the Xiaomi MIUI 8 skin.
The specs listed on the Geekbench entry seems to support previously rumored specs of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. There had been rumors that the device would be shipped with a pressure sensitive 5.7-inch display. There are also speculations that it would have a 4000mAh non-removable battery pack that also supports Xiaomi's quick charging technology, according to BGR.
