Rumors and leaks regarding the specs of the Meizu MX6 appear to be becoming more genuine following the release of a new benchmark which further confirmed the details of the upcoming smartphone. The latest to be reveled is the rear-camera specs of the Meizu MX6.

The new benchmark results reveal that the Meizu MX6 will sport a 12-megapixel rear-camera sensor. Not many changes have been made on Meizu's flagship device following the launch of the MX4. The devices sport the same build made of alloy materials, and they all have the same 20.7-megapixel sensor from Sony.

It appears that Meizu is downgrading the camera resolution of the MX6 down to 12-megapixel using the Sony IMX286 sensor. The decision has raised some concerns among users who frequently use the smartphone's camera. However, it is important to note that a camera with low resolution does not necessarily mean lower quality photos. According to GizChina, the IMX286 sensor from Sony is the same sensor used by the Huawei P9.

New benchmark results also confirmed that the Meizu MX6 will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will have an ARM MT6797 10-core processor clocked at 1.39 GHz with 4GB of memory. Storage space was reported to be 32GB which can is expandable, according to GSM Arena.

Aside from the 12-megapixel main camera, the Meizu MX6 would also have a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfie shots. The device would have a 5.5-inch Full HD display, and it is also expected to pack a powerful 4,000mAh battery which should be enough to power it for at least a day.
