Upcoming Meizu Smartphone Spotted on TENAA

A new unannounced smartphone from Chinese-based company Meizu with the model number Meizu M681M has been spotted on the website of Chinese telecommunication certification authority (TENAA). The device could be one of the Meizu's Note series, Gadget Arena reported.

The Meizu M681M appears to be a mid-range smartphone with a large 4000 mAh battery that supports fast charging. According to the TENAA listing, the device is powered by an octa-core chipset clocked at a speed of 1.8 GHz. It seems not to have a quad high-definition panel. It is unclear whether a Snapdragon or MediaTek chipset will be its processor. The device runs on an outdated Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. It comes in two storage variants, namely, a 2 GB of RAM with a 16 GB of internal storage and a 3 GB of RAM with a 32 GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 128 GB via a microSD card slot. It features a 13-megapixel camera at the back. The device would be available in gold, silver, and gray colors.
The device is expected to be released this year.
According to Phones Review, the Meizu M681M could be in the phablet range since its dimensions are 153.6 x 75.6 x 8.3 millimeters with a weight of 166 grams. It has a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Its connectivity options are dual-SIM slots, GPS, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, and Wi-Fi.
There have been no announcements about the handset aside from the TENAA listing. At the moment, there is no known release date or price range for the device. It is also unclear whether it would be released outside China.
